For some, we have a long list of goals that we want to accomplish. For others, they’ve accomplished half of this list and for some of us–we don’t even have a list! But no matter the age I’ve been or the places I’ve seen, all kinds of people are struggling to discover exactly what they want to do with their lives.

This struggle is a common one.
If we find ourselves stuck…
Without any goals then a fresh perspective on how to get driven is needed. Without passion our goals can seem like small accomplishments that don’t fulfill us. In order to discover what our true goals are in life, it takes a deeper look into what it means when we pursue that passion. Our big goal. The reason we’re living. A true passion. Your purpose.
There was a time in my life that I couldn’t figure out what it was I wanted do. I thought there were too many possibilities, and I had too many hobbies. Sure, a lot of these hobbies could’ve had my foot in the door with incredible beginnings but I lacked focus.
This lack of focus came from always wanting to try something new all the time. I should have been streamlining my goals. Whenever I tried to deeply focus on my goals, it didn’t last long because a lot of times it didn’t feel right.
All too often people forget that feeling of intuition. In our fast paced world it’s easy to lose that feeling, to become numb to passion and driven by necessity. If we can just pay the bills and have food on the table, we think, “Hey, that’s good enough, right?”
When I was ready to finally see that doing what I loved needed to line up with my passion for my purpose in life, it became clear that my passion was bone dry without a reason attached.
Every person on this planet has a different purpose
For some of us it’s more difficult to discover what exactly that purpose is. When we discover ourselves at certain stages in life, our passions can change or evolve; but the one thing you can’t live without is a purpose of some kind.
That intuitive feeling in your gut when you just know this is for you is hard to follow. It can be downright scary but if you find it–go with it. If there’s something that drives you and brings you into a deep state of flow with life, more than likely this is meant to be your purpose.
You’ll know because the signs will make themselves known as you get closer to it and resistance becomes less and less. It can be difficult to know where to begin. Trust that voice inside, look within and empower yourself. If you have never experienced the harmonizing of the creative act of following your passion, it can be difficult to believe.
Our passion will almost always be tied to our purpose
That feeling of being driven is an ease of connection to all around you and a clear concise cut through the noise of other ideas or possibilities. If we can find ourselves flowing with good vibes in our present lives, it makes it a lot easier to see the bigger picture. Every clear step towards the goal or future ideal will become less foggy.
It’s hard to live in the present moment, I know, but being able to do that will open up a wider view of what comes next when going after that one passion that evades you. Take the time to listen to that intuition the next time one of our passions connects with life on a high vibe–don’t ignore it, listen instead. This helps me, maybe it can help drive you too.
